Things that are difficult, downright painful, and/or damned near impossible to do with a broken arm:
- Type
- Put Harley’s choke collar on
- Open the shampoo bottle and pour some in your good hand WITH your good hand
- Put sunscreen on the good arm
- Shave my underarms
- Hang laundry on the line (yeah I’m not sure what I was thinking)
- Put on deodorant…shit I couldn’t even get the top off without swearing.
- Ride a bike (I was certain I was ok and could ‘ride it off’)
- Sew
- Knit
- Cut a pizza into slices
- Fasten a bra…I should maybe get some tips from Joey on Friends.
- Move the couch when a gallon of water spills and you don’t want it to ruin the hardwood floor below…for future reference, it’s best to sit on the ground and push with your legs…but be careful with a bruised ankle, you can really piss it off.
- Sleep
- Blow your nose…this was just plain disastrous.
- Wear a backpack
- Put in a ponytail

to despense shampoo and the like or remove caps/lids, put the item between your knees facing up for cap removal, or upside down to dispense. squeeze your knees together and hold your good hand under the bottle when needing shampoo, and wipe the soap on your hair before relieving your knees of thier duties.
That's what I ended up doing...but the damn plastic bottle was awfully slippery and it kept sliding down! I found a hand-pump that fit the top and now I just have to push down like with lotion :) I also bought spray sunscreen, fancy razors that have the shave gel on them, and I'm going to see about mail-ordering a little hottie who can towel me off when I get out of the shower...Scratch that, maybe he can just do the shower too :)
